One piece how old is brook

It's no secret that this franchise has introduced some of the strangest and most enthralling characters of any anime. Many fans love to soak up all the details about each of their favorite pirates. Even something as straightforward as heights and ages of recurring characters can become cloudy in a series as long as this one.

Every once in a while, it does fans good to treat themselves to a bit of a refresher. Monkey D. He remains one of its top fighters and its most insatiable eater. Serving as the primary protagonist of One Piece , Luffy's lifelong dream is to one day become the Pirate King. He aims to complete this lofty goal by hunting down the treasure left behind by the legendary pirate Gol D.

To Luffy, becoming Pirate King represents ultimate freedom, as he believes the Pirate King would have the most freedom in the world. Roronoa Zoro is also known as "Pirate Hunter" Zoro. He's one of the Straw Hat Pirates' two main swordsmen, and was the first pirate besides Luffy himself to join the crew. Originally a bounty hunter, Zoro seeks to become the greatest swordsman in the world. He dreams of this in order to one day honor a promise he made to his deceased childhood friend Kuina.

So far in the series, he's doing excellent work at honing his craft. Formerly a member of the Arlong Pirates, Nami had initially joined the Straw Hats in an attempt to rob them blind; she sought the Straw Hats' fortune in her attempts to buy her village back from Arlong.

Once the Straw Hats rebelled against Arlong, Nami officially joined the crew as a legitimate member. Having freed the village from Arlong, Nami set out with the Straw Hats on her dream to map the entire world.

Usopp was raised in Syrup Village, acting as the "captain" of the Usopp Pirates a group of delinquent children under his command. He was the third member to join Luffy's crew. Although some may describe Usopp as a bit of a coward, he hopes to eventually become a bold seafaring warrior like his father. He typically wore shades never revealing his eyes. This scar was retained in his skeletal state as a distinctive crack across his skull.

Brook is an extremely tall skeleton dressed in formal attire complete with top hat and cane. Despite having no skin, he still has an afro which he says is because his hair has very strong roots. Brook's style was that of a gentleman consisting of a coat, top hat, trousers and afro, which were black, while the inner linings of his coat were yellow-orange.

The cravat that was tied in between his coat and around his neck was blue. The outer covering of Brook's cane sword which he carries was purple. Also, due to his many years of seclusion his clothes were somewhat tattered. During the Return to Sabaody Arc through Fish-Man Island Arc , he changed to more colorful and high-end clothes, as though to represent a rock star. He had heart-shaped sunglasses, a yellow feather boa, a new top hat with a giant crown on the brim and orange red trousers with a floral design.

Despite being a skeleton, he grew to cm 9'1" during the two-year timeskip. During the Dressrosa Arc , he wore a dark magenta long-coat with an upturned collar in addition to yellow pants. While shown on Zou during this arc, his second outfit consisted of a pink shirt with a white polka dot pattern which resemble the circles on the SMILE fruits , orange and yellow striped trousers, and pointed dark colored shoes.

He also donned his original pre-timeskip top hat, a blue bead necklace, and he swapped his heart shaped sunglasses for a more traditional black pair. During the Zou Arc , he added a dark colored coat with a fluffy lining to his second Dressrosa outfit along with a larger top hat embellished with beads. Due to being chased and chewed on by his canine Mink admirers, his coat had become somewhat tattered by the time he met up with Luffy's group. During the Whole Cake Island Arc , he wore a long, fancy overcoat with puffy sleeves and tall black boots.

He also wrapped a decorative scarf around his head and donned a pair of plain black shades. Later on, after the Big Mom pirates stripped him of his clothes, he wore a simple sleeveless cloak with a rope tied around the neck to fasten it.

When meeting with the Fire Tank Pirates , he dons a large fedora, a black and red striped vest along with a dark shirt, yellow ascot, and brown trousers. During the Wano Country Arc , Kin'emon used his ability to change Brook's appearance so he could blend in with the country. Brook now wears a pure white kimono, with triangle-shaped headband and two arrows stuck in his body - an appearance befitting of a ghost, as Kurozumi Orochi 's Oniwabanshu members mistake him as a gasha-dokuro. Before the raid on Onigashima, Brook wore a samurai armor complete with a kabuto helmet and cape.

He also wields a katana rather than his shikomizue. When departing for Onigashima, Brook traded his samurai armor with a black vest and cravat and also a top hat. Like everyone else participating in the raid, Kin'emon gave Brook a Beasts Pirates disguise with a dark-colored furred coat and one-horned hat.

Even if he's your absolute favorite character in One Piece, there's still some trivia and details that you probably don't know about him - hopefully, this list will teach you something new.

What are some things you didn't know about Brook? Here's a meta detail - an Algerian rapper named Soolking not only took his name from Brook, he also mixed Brook's laugh into one of his tracks. Here's another fun bit of info - if the Straw Hats raced each other, Brook would win - his light body allows him to run faster than anyone else. Most characters have wanted posters that look more or less the same - there's a brown backdrop with a photo and information about their bounty and other details.

Brook's wanted poster is totally different: the World Government decided to simply take an old concert poster of him and slap the info on the bottom. Brook is heavily associated with the underworld, a place that can be associated with frigid terrain.

That's why he's able to use moves like "Chill of the Underworld" which let him place his ice-cold aura into swords and other objects and use it to attack his foes with ice.

While the whole underworld thing is a perfectly good explanation for Brook's ice powers, there might be more to it. Brook often makes jokes the kind of hokey joke you'd expect from an old man - which makes sense, since he's His crewmates don't usually laugh at his jokes.

This could be why Brook is associated with ice instead of, say, fire. At 88 years old, Brook is the oldest member of the Straw Hats by far. Why all the eights? While this isn't confirmed, it could be because he's heavily associated with music, and there are 88 keys on standard piano keyboard. Oda confirmed that these did influence him, as did a lot of other zombie and horror movies.

I love them too. In order to draw Thriller Bark, I even watched a lot of zombie movies, which I've never really done before. By my nature, I don't like scary things, so even though I put a lot more black into the art, I still tried to make silly, funny zombies. When artists draw about ghosts and dead people and things that aren't meant for polite society, they always go to the shrine to pray beforehand I mean, I don't want to get cursed or anything.

It might be surprising to learn that Brook is faster than characters like Luffy or Zoro, but it's true. When asked who would win if the Straw Hat crew competed in a race, Oda said that Brook would come in the first place. The reason is that since Brook is a skeleton, he's lighter than everyone else.

Perhaps his height helps too, since it likely gives him longer strides.
